Bela Mukherjee (Chatterjee)
Stories and memories of Bela Mukherjee (1926-2010): mother, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was born in the mid-1920s in East Bengal (now Bangladesh) and lived an active life until she passed away on March 2, 2010. We remember her as an outgoing and independent woman, who loved poetry, music, flowers, writing, reciting, storytelling, cooking, sewing and knitting and the ability to make friends with people of all ages.
